In our office, we have the International “Not” Symbol and in there it says Either/Or. And then right next to it is the international “Go” Symbol which is the green circle and (no slash through it) that says Both/And. When life pitches you an Either/Or… upspin it to Both/And.

I was in New Orleans, two streets over from Bourbon Street and there was a little sign in the window late at night, 

And it just said “When life makes you choose… choose both”. And that's what this is about. We don't always have to take those Either/Or hands that are dealt to us. Before you just accept it… always try to upspin it to Both/And… not Either/Or. Both And.
